They had a water hose broke and drove anyway, overheated the car until it stopped working

Water damage through the rear trunk seal. 2017 Mercedes GLS

...when this was all back together, the only faults I had were because of whoever built the harness. They completely missed 2 pins in the sound Amp harness (literally just bare wire in the connector) and had to correct the pin locations on the rear tailgate unit connector. Pretty sure someone builds these by hand so I was expecting something like this.

Warranty paid 51 hours

That hitch one is great. When I worked at the dealership another salesman had a customer come back just livid because they had bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee which they were told had a towing package , but they couldn’t find the hitch. The other salesman wasn’t in, it was his day off. While the customer was yelling at the manager, I went outside took off the cover and came back handed it to the customer. Then we walked out to his Jeep. Buy was he embarrassed

That Mercedes wiring harness gave me flashbacks to an internship I had which involved troubleshooting wiring problems in locomotive control cabins. Thousands of white #16 wires.

The jet being washed, on the other hand, is awesome.

That Ranger was so good I was able to ignore the video being shot in 90 degree rotated horizontal. It was a tailgate bent into a wing profile away from being museum worthy.

We did washing of the LM2500+ (gas turbine based on the CF6 ) on the cruise ship I served on. It was like that except it has no nacelle or much auxiliary so we could see bubbles coming out of the combustor where the injectors were and some other spots like the compressor vane control . It looked like a if a mad scientist had a bunch of money and made a really inefficient bubble maker.

Thanks. That’s actually a Syndyne 8400 system. I have installed many Peterson systems of various vintages though.

It’s a massive Casavant, 1982. One of the very last all-mechanical consoles they made. Which has been a PITA to keep running for the last 5 years or so.

I thought t he rocker tabs looked like Casavant.

Keep up the fight regarding the PITA instrument. There no replacement for moving columns of air. Digital organs just don’t do it. Not yet, maybe ever.

Worry not, I hate fake organs. Real pipes are my trade. And assuming it’s worthy we try to preserve the look and feel of the console when rebuilding it too.

Those rocker tabs are indeed distinctive Casavant and I went to some trouble to not only retain the look but some of the original action so they would feel right.
